Hi, I’m Joon Heo — a visual storyteller shaped by both heritage and hands-on experience.
I was born into the world of photography as the son of a photographer, surrounded by lenses, film, and light from an early age. That early exposure gave me not only technical familiarity, but also a deep respect for the power of visual language.
My professional journey began in 2018, when I joined a camera crew supporting documentary cinematographers. There, I learned the fundamentals of visual production—from gear management and studio operation to on-location shooting. Since then, I’ve grown into a multidisciplinary media creator, working across photography, film, and digital storytelling.
Today, I serve as an Associate Media Producer at The Peoples Church in Toronto, where I create content for Sunday services, seasonal campaigns, and global outreach. Alongside this, I continue to pursue freelance photography—capturing weddings, portraits, and creative projects that preserve both emotion and meaning.
Whether I’m framing a quiet moment through stills or building a compelling narrative through video, I’m driven by a desire to tell stories that matter. I believe meaningful visual storytelling doesn’t just inform—it connects, uplifts, and invites people to see more deeply.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio. I hope you find not just images here, but heart, vision, and purpose behind each one.
